Biden: Loss of Other Ukrainian Cities After Avdiivka is Possible
US President Joe Biden does not rule out that the Ukrainian armed forces could lose other cities after retreating from Avdiivka, as long as Congress has not approved aid for Kyiv.
Biden expressed uncertainty about Ukraine's ability to maintain control over other cities, stating, "I’m not confident about that. And no one can be. Too much is at stake," in response to questions from reporters.
The US president emphasized that abandoning support for Kyiv at a time when Ukrainian military shells are running out would be immoral and ridiculous. He assured that he would fight to provide Ukraine with the necessary resources.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the Russian army's takeover of Avdiivka.
