"It will be named in honor of our national leader Vladimir Putin," Kadyrov wrote, explaining that the decision to name the new area in Grozny after Putin was made to express the deep gratitude of the Chechen people and the desire to immortalize his name.
The new district will feature the construction of 130 apartment buildings, a mosque, a kindergarten, and other infrastructure. The Chechen leader emphasized that the area will become the most comfortable and prestigious part of Grozny.
