Fog on the Roads: Situation in Armenia

The Rescue Service has reported that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. Until March 5, due to road repair works, the section of the M-6 highway near 38-40 km between Vanadzor and Alaverdi will be closed for buses and trucks with trailers or semi-trailers. A detour will operate via the town of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the ‘Amberd’ high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

Fog has settled in the Goris, Kapan, and Kajaran regions.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepanziminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
