They Would Like Their President to Be Putin; Biden is Their Punishment - Volodin

Russia, under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin, will develop and become stronger, which the West does not want, and this is related to the attacks from Western countries on the Russian leader. This was stated by the Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin during a plenary session of the chamber.

“Look at the kind of criticism and attacks on Putin from our enemies in Washington and Brussels. What do you think, why? They understand that Russia will develop with Putin. They understand very well that our country will be strong with him,” he said.

According to Volodin, Putin has “demonstrated during his tenure that he can solve the most difficult problems.”

“We must appreciate that Putin has created an atmosphere of publicity, competition, and rivalry; this is a strong point of our political system. But at the same time, in the current situation, we all need to unite around Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” the speaker added, calling on colleagues to “rise above party interests.”

“We must think about the country,” he noted.

Volodin also pointed out that many in the U.S. would like to have a president like Putin. “If you look at what they write in America, they would like their president to be Putin. But they don’t have him; we do. And their [Joe] Biden, you see, is their punishment,” the politician concluded.
