Request to Detain Vahan Kerobyan Submitted, Lawyer Says

A request to detain former Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan has been submitted, his lawyer Tigran Yegoryan informed Sputnik Armenia. According to him, Kerobyan is accused of abusing official powers, in collusion with a group for selfish motives, as well as passing, using, or exerting influence.

Vahan Kerobyan denies the charges against him. Earlier, it was reported that Kerobyan has been involved in a scandalous case linked to the Ministry of Economy as a new defendant. He appeared today before the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
