Baku Continues to Pursue "What I Want, Give It to Me Through Negotiations, Otherwise I Will Take It by War" Policy: Pashinyan
The recent events are another manifestation of Azerbaijan's destructive policy. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting, referring to the incidents registered in the Nakhichevan region.
"The description of events shows that Azerbaijan's intentions remain the same: to pursue a policy of military coercion against Armenia. Our impression is that Azerbaijan shows no interest in ensuring border stability and security," he said.
He noted that back in 2022, an agreement was reached that the mandates of the delimitation commissions should also include issues of border security.
According to him, Armenia, adhering to the agreement, established a commission on the delimitation of the state border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, assuming that the commissions would also work on these issues. However, Azerbaijan named its created commission the State Commission for the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, omitting the security component.
"This and several other circumstances provide grounds to conclude that Azerbaijan continues to pursue a policy of 'What I want, give it to me through negotiations, otherwise I will take it by war,'" Pashinyan emphasized.
