Peskov Comments on Reports of Putin's Proposal to the U.S.
The Kremlin has denied the information from Reuters that the President of Russia offered to the U.S. in 2023 to freeze the Ukrainian conflict. “This information does not correspond to reality,” stated Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian president, during a conversation with reporters.
Earlier, Reuters reported that Putin proposed to U.S. authorities to freeze ongoing military operations in Ukraine through his Arab partners in Moscow in 2023. This has been conveyed to Reuters by three Russian sources, who noted that the White House rejected Moscow's proposal.
