Personnel Changes in the Armed Forces

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has made several appointments through decrees dated February 14.

Karen Grigoryan has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, relieving him of his duties as the head of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Temur Shahnazaryan has been appointed as the Chief of the Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, relieving him of his previous position as the head of the Communication Troops of the Armed Forces and the Directorate of Automated Control Systems.

Arsen Mangasaryan has been appointed as the Head of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy, relieving him of his duties as the commander of the Peacekeeping Forces Brigade. Additionally, Armen Seyranian has been appointed as the Head of the Strategic Planning Directorate of the General Staff, and Hamlet Levonyan has been appointed as the commander of the Peacekeeping Forces Brigade.

Vachagan Nersesyan has been relieved of his position as the head of the Combat Training Directorate of the Armed Forces Preparedness Department. David Aleksanyan has been appointed as the head of the Combat Training Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Vigen Mkrtchyan has been appointed as the head of the Communication Troops of the General Staff and the Directorate of Automated Control Systems.
