Many Leaders of NATO Countries Come from Nazi Families, Says Zakharova
There are many individuals in the leadership of NATO countries who come from families of Nazis, and they were not brought to power by accident. This statement was made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by Rg.ru.
The diplomat emphasized that no one can change their family's past, but everyone can properly assess the actions of their ancestors. As an example, she cited German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
Zakharova recalled Baerbock's words about being proud of her grandfather, who defended his country in the winter of 1945: "If he was Germany's defender, it is clear whom he was defending against," stated the diplomat.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Bild newspaper reported that the grandfather of the current German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock was a staunch supporter of National Socialism.
