RTRC Terminates Proceedings Against Freenews TV Led by Alen Simonian's Wife

The Radio and Television Commission of Armenia has terminated the proceedings against Freenews TV, chaired by Mariam Margaryan, the wife of Alen Simonian. The decision was made during a commission meeting on February 12.

According to the press service of the RTRC, “The proceedings were halted because the company has fully settled its debts.” No fines have been imposed on the television channel.

Previously, media outlets reported that the television company had accumulated debts totaling 23.3 million drams. As a result, the channel had been deprived of broadcasting opportunities for one day.
