In Nerqin Hand, Syunik province, the Armenian servicemen who were killed and wounded today from the fire of Azerbaijani armed personnel were struck from Azerbaijani positions located within the territory of Armenia, in other words, from areas that have invaded our territory. This was stated by former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan.

“The presence of Azerbaijani armed personnel adjacent to any settlement in Armenia or on roads between communities is illegal and criminal. More so, this refers to armed personnel who have invaded Armenia. This reckless behavior by Azerbaijan is also a consequence of the fact that the Armenian authorities, for political interests, have justified Azerbaijani crimes and incursions, claiming that Azerbaijani armed personnel are present in their own territories. The Azerbaijani authorities have taken advantage of this opportunity gifted to them to reinforce their positions. Simultaneously, they have promoted false declarations of peace while deepening hatred and animosity towards Armenians,” he wrote.
