Egypt Strengthens Security Measures at the Border

In the last two weeks, Egypt has sent approximately 40 tanks and armored vehicles to the northeast of Sinai as part of efforts to bolster security measures along the border with Gaza. This information has been reported by Reuters, citing two sources from the Egyptian security services.

The deployment comes ahead of an expansion of Israeli military operations around the southern city of Rafah in Gaza, where a significant portion of the population is seeking safety, raising Egyptian concerns that Palestinians may be forced to leave the enclave en masse.
