Tucker Carlson Calls Those Who Believe Russia Wants to Attack Europe 'Fools'
American journalist Tucker Carlson has stated in a video posted on his site that only a fool could believe in Russia's intentions to attack Europe. He is quoted by TASS.
Carlson emphasized that Moscow is not "engaged in expansion." He said, "I shouldn’t say this, as the ideological liars running the State Department want to turn Putin into Hitler or the Emperor of Japan. That’s wrong; it’s foolishness."
The journalist wondered why Russia is approaching Poland if the Russian side simply desires security at its borders. According to Carlson, Russia has more than enough natural resources. Moreover, he pointed out that various ethnic groups live in Russia, with people speaking different languages, which makes governing such a state quite challenging.
He added that he gets the impression that the Russian leader is "deeply hurt" by the rejection from Western countries, while in Moscow, "Europeanness" is not only visible but also felt on a cultural level. Carlson noted that Vladimir Putin candidly expressed his opinions during their interview.
