Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated in an event organized on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which he delivered a congratulatory message, stating: "Your Excellency Ambassador Sobhani, Esteemed Ambassadors, Dear Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen, I warmly congratulate the friendly people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. The relations between Armenia and Iran have a long history, based on mutual trust, respect, and sincere friendship.
I would like to note with satisfaction our active dialogue between the two countries, which contributes to the sustainable development of Armenia-Iran cooperation. The governments of our countries demonstrate the necessary political will and make every effort to expand relations at a high political level and inter-state cooperation. A vivid evidence of this is the rich agenda of our bilateral relations.
We welcome the interest and practical involvement of Iranian companies in implementing projects of strategic importance for Armenia. We also greatly value the close contacts and constructive cooperation established between the leaders of Armenia and Iran, as well as our executive and legislative authorities.
Dear colleagues, I would like to inform you that next week, under the co-chairmanship of the esteemed Deputy President of Iran, Davood Manzuri, and myself, the next meeting of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental joint commission will take place in Tehran. I am confident that during the meeting, we will have the opportunity to discuss a number of key issues, summarize the work done, as well as outline new prospective projects of mutual interest.
Iran is an important partner for us, and the friendly and constructive relations we have with it not only create benefits for our peoples but also serve as a serious factor in ensuring stability and development throughout the region. In this context, I find it important to emphasize that our government highly appreciates the clear position of the highest leadership of Iran regarding the territorial integrity and inviolability of the borders of the Republic of Armenia.
Taking this opportunity, I once again congratulate the friendly people of Iran. I am hopeful that we have a historic opportunity to work together, and we are ready to make efforts towards deepening our friendly relations for the welfare of the Armenian and Iranian peoples and regional peace."
