Scholz Says Situation in Ukraine Will Be 'Very Difficult' Without US Help

Europe will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine, but the situation will become extremely complicated without the United States' involvement. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Washington, as reported by n-tv television.

“Europe can make a significant contribution, but without the United States' contribution, the situation for Ukraine will be very, very difficult. I hope that the entire Congress will make this decision (regarding assistance to Kyiv). It is clear to us that we need to not only express our solidarity with Ukraine clearly but also support it with actions,” the chancellor said.

According to him, Russia itself must “end the war and create conditions for a peaceful resolution.”

“The war can end at any moment, but not in the way that Russian President Vladimir Putin envisions—with Ukraine's capitulation,” Scholz insisted.
