Five Earthquakes Occur in Russia in One Day
Five earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 3.6 to 5.0 have occurred near the shores of Kamchatka, Russia, within a single day. This information has been reported by the Kamchatka branch of the unified geophysical service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, according to РИА Новости.
Quakes with magnitudes of 3.6 and 3.7 were registered near the eastern shores of Kamchatka, located 148 and 142 kilometers away from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Additionally, three more earthquakes struck near the islands of the Kamchatka region, with magnitudes varying between 4.6 and 5.0. The epicenters of these underground shocks were located 35 to 50 kilometers away from the nearest populated areas.
According to officials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, no tremors were felt in Kamchatka, and a tsunami warning has not been issued.
