Armenian Ambassador Discusses Use of Armenian Driver's Licenses with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister
The Armenian Ambassador to Russia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin discussed the issue of using Armenian driver’s licenses while engaging in trade activities within the territory of the Russian Federation today in Moscow. This information was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Russia.
"There was also an exchange of views on other relevant issues on the Armenian-Russian agenda," the statement said.
Earlier, it was reported that the State Duma of Russia has decided to indefinitely postpone the discussion on a legislative proposal regarding the recognition of Armenian driver’s licenses for business and employment activities by Armenian citizens.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, stated that the refusal to recognize Armenian driver’s licenses in Russia contradicts the fundamental principle of the Eurasian Economic Union regarding the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor.
