The NSS Isolation Facility Has Been Without a Leader for 5 Days
The NSS isolation facility has been without a leader for 5 days now. According to information from the newspaper "Zhoghovurd," the Ministry of Justice, along with law enforcement agencies, is searching for a candidate to lead the "Yerevan-Center" penitentiary.
There has been discussion about appointing Ruben Khalapyan, the former head of the "Prison Hospital," as the head of the NSS isolation facility, but no final decision has been made yet.
It is noteworthy that, according to reports we have received, the son of the ruling party MP Melkonyan has taken his resignation request very hard, but it was explained to him that there is a problem in the isolation facility that needs to be resolved, and he is unable to do so.
Furthermore, Khalapyan was the former head of the NSS isolation facility before he was dismissed, and Gagik Melkonyan's son was appointed in his place. Now, there are suggestions to bring Khalapyan back to the "Yerevan-Center" penitentiary,” the newspaper writes.
