Erdogan Hopes for Peace Agreement Between Yerevan and Baku
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has expressed hope that a peace agreement will be signed between Yerevan and Baku following the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. He made this statement in a message directed to Ilham Aliyev, congratulating him on his victory in the elections.
According to local media reports, Aliyev won the elections with between 92.4% and 93.9% of the votes. The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan reported a voter turnout of 76.73%.
