Ankara Expects Putin's Visit in the Near Future

Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to make an official visit to Ankara soon. "Mr. Putin will visit Turkey in the near future," Fidan stated during a joint press conference with Malta's Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, and Trade, Ian Borg.

According to him, cooperation has been established between Turkey and the Russian Federation in many areas, primarily in the energy sector.

“On the other hand, it is necessary to hold consultations on many issues, starting from Syria, the Caucasus, and the situation in the Middle East. We highly value the continuation of dialogue with the Russian Federation at both presidential and ministerial levels,” Fidan noted.
