Accident on Alagyaz-Gegharod Highway: One Casualty and Injured, Reports Ministry of Emergency Situations

On February 6, at 11:48 AM, a call was received by the Crisis Management Center of the Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Department regarding a traffic accident on the Jamsarlu-Gegharod highway, with injuries reported. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Emergency services dispatched a firefighting and rescue squad along with an operational group to the scene. It was determined that vehicles involved in the accident were a Toyota Camry (driver: H.A., born 1969), a Nissan (driver: A.K.), and a Ford Transit (driver: Z.H.) at the 6th kilometer of the Alagyaz-Gegharod highway. The driver of the Toyota Camry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rescue workers provided assistance to a passenger of the Toyota Camry, identified as A.S. (born 2001), who was subsequently transported to a hospital where doctors assessed the patient's condition as stable but severe.

The rescue team disconnected the vehicles’ power, closed the gas valve of the Toyota Camry, recovered the body, and placed it in an ambulance. Together with police officers and citizens, they cleared the accident scene from the roadway.
