Poland Calls for Ban on Ukrainian Fruits
Poland's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, has announced the need to reduce the flow of fruit imports from Ukraine. His remarks were cited by RBC.
Siekierski noted that Europe’s agricultural policy is too open to Ukrainian agricultural products, prompting farmers from various countries to organize protests. He emphasized that workers in the agriculture sector expect a simplification of the EU's unified policy in this area.
In this regard, the minister called for a "cut in the flow of fruit" from Ukraine, which he believes would allow Polish fruit growers to increase their profits. Previously, the Polish government had adopted a resolution banning the import of grain from Ukraine.
