One of the Children in a Car that Fell into a Canal Dies in Dagestan

A 10-year-old boy, who had been rescued from a car that submerged in water in Makhachkala, died in the hospital the day after the incident.

According to Magomed Abdulaev, the on-duty physician at the children's clinical hospital, one of the hospitalized children died, while another is in serious condition and on mechanical ventilation. A source from RIA Novosti detailed that the deceased boy's heart had stopped several times.

The unfortunate accident occurred the day before in Makhachkala when an MMA coach was taking his students, aged 10, 12, and 14, to training but lost control, causing the car to plunge into a canal. Despite the immediate assistance from caring bystanders, the 10-year-old and 12-year-old were hospitalized in serious condition. The driver and the 14-year-old were uninjured.
