Major Car Accident in Yerevan: One Injured

Today, on February 5, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 19:40, a Honda Accord collided with a concrete support of the well-known "Triangle" bridge near the Yerablur Military Pantheon.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, one person with bodily injuries was transported to the "Astghik" Medical Center.

Rescue teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's fire and rescue unit in Yerevan, including one operational team, arrived at the scene. Officers from the Patrol Service of the Yerevan City Police, under the command of the company commander Aram Dadoyan and the squad commander Suren Aleksanyan, also responded.

The area was cordoned off by senior patrol officer Arman Grigoryan and patrol officer Hakob Karapetyan from the same squad.

Information about the accident has been forwarded to the Road Transport Crimes Investigation Division of the Investigation Committee of Armenia, and an investigative team, led by deputy heads Arthur Adamyan and Grigor Avetisyan, as well as the duty investigator, arrived.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the accident, as the identities of the driver and the injured party are being determined. According to G. Shamshyan’s information, the injured person was the driver.

By the investigator's order, the vehicle is being transferred to the secured area of the Yerevan City Patrol Service.
