Turkey Ready to Act as Guarantor for Palestine with Military Presence, Media Reports
Turkey is prepared to become a guarantor for Palestine in the region through its "political and military presence". This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing sources from the Sabah newspaper.
"Turkey states that it is ready to be one of the guarantors of peace for the Palestinian side with its humanitarian, political, and military presence," the publication writes.
Earlier, in a phone conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the escalation and prolongation of Israeli attacks could have negative regional and global consequences. He emphasized that the creation of a guarantor mechanism proposed by Turkey, the fulfillment of promises, and the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and territorially integrated Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital within the 1967 borders would be the smartest and most sustainable solution.
