Russia's Federal Security Service Reveals Putin's Choice of Vehicles
The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has announced that there are no foreign-made vehicles in the special fleet serving President Vladimir Putin. Denis Simonov, head of the service's press and public relations department, stated this to RIA Novosti.
He noted that Putin has been using the Russian-made AURUS limousine for six years. The president travels by this domestic vehicle both within Russia and internationally.
AURUS cars are also provided to foreign guests arriving in Russia.
Putin first took a ride in the new limousine on May 7, 2018. Previously, he used a Mercedes.
“The majority of the fleet consists of domestically produced vehicles; there are foreign cars, but the state leader does not use them,” Simonov said.
