Russian Ambassador Summoned by South Korean Foreign Ministry Due to Zakharova's Remarks

The authorities of the Republic of Korea have summoned the Russian Ambassador to the Foreign Ministry in Seoul due to remarks made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, regarding the rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula. This was reported by the TASS agency.

According to the information, the ambassador was presented with a note of protest.

Previously, Zakharova stated that the rhetoric of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol regarding North Korea aims to obscure the country’s aggressive plans against North Korea, and this rhetoric is disgusting in the context of Seoul's participation in military exercises with the United States.
