Video: Foreign 'Criminal Individual' Kills Countryman in Yerevan, Body Discovered

On June 19, 2023, at 1 AM, the police station of Mashotsi received a call from an ambulance service reporting that there was a young man's body near a gas station on Hasratyan Street in Yerevan. Approximately 20 minutes later, another call was received from the Armenia medical center indicating that a foreign young man was admitted for treatment with a diagnosis of a "stab wound to the right side of the chest and head injury." The police have issued a statement regarding the incident.

That same day, a criminal case was initiated at the investigative department of the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts on the grounds of murder and attempted murder. During the investigation, it became clear that the victim, found dead near the gas station, was also a foreign national. Overall, this entire situation was the result of internal clarifications among foreign nationals of the same ethnicity.

Through the efforts of law enforcement, reliable information was obtained that the young man had been stabbed by an individual named Abin, who was described by his compatriots as a "criminal individual." Days later, he was arrested and then placed in custody. Police also managed to identify the assailant of the hospitalized young man, who resided in one of the houses on Arakelyan Street in Yerevan. However, he had already changed his residence and was evading investigation.

On June 27, a manhunt was announced for him by the police station of Mashotsi, with the measure of restraint being custody. Thanks to prolonged operational-investigative measures by officers of the main department of criminal police, it was discovered days ago that the fugitive was in Gyumri. Further actions were carried out in collaboration with the Shirak regional department of police and the Kumayri police station. On January 30, the fugitive was located and arrested in an apartment on Tblisian Highway in Gyumri.
