The Human Rights Defender Visits Nubarashen and Abovyan Prisons

The Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan and representatives of her office visited the Nubarashen and Abovyan correctional facilities. This was reported by the office of the Human Rights Defender.

During the visit, private conversations were held with individuals deprived of their liberty, addressing various issues including inquiries related to criminal proceedings and the types of pre-trial restrictions imposed.

The status of their rights protection, necessary documentation, and conditions of detention were also examined. The identified issues were discussed with competent representatives of the correctional facilities, aiming to provide on-site solutions to some of the raised concerns.
