Video: It’s Like We Walk Into a Mercedes Showroom, Pay 100,000 Dram, and Ask for a Good Car. Pashinyan on Water Issues
Water is one of those sectors where our perceptions haven’t changed in the last 30 years. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
“Water, as a commodity, is becoming more important and valuable every day, and we must confront a problem. Imagine we go in, enter a Mercedes showroom, pay 100,000 dram, and ask for a good car. Our attitude towards water is somewhat similar. We say, ‘Take this 12 dram, give us drinking water, irrigation, and around-the-clock water.’ It doesn’t work like that; this approach needs to change,” he said.
Pashinyan noted that the government has also fallen short on this issue.
