Video: 'Don’t Enter the Forest, the Wolf Will Eat Us,' Says Prime Minister

Mariam Z.

The Prime Minister addressed the energy sector, stating that there are areas, such as energy, which are 'not what they were ten years ago.' He noted, 'Our knowledge about energy, even from the most famous professionals, is outdated. Our perceptions regarding communication are also outdated.'

Pashinyan further remarked, 'There are instances where I relied on professionals' conclusions during discussions two or three years ago, and now I must admit that I was wrong. When we go to other places, we see what discussions have taken place regarding the same issues and what they have resulted in.'

He touched on criticisms that the government does not listen to experts: 'When people say that the government is discussing a certain issue but doesn’t consult specialists… But, dear people, we need to understand how much those who parade under the banner of being specialists really are specialists, or in what area they are specialists, and how much their profession meets the needs of 2024. Well, not everything is just about diplomas and academic degrees.'

According to the Prime Minister, it is now the time for political leadership: 'It is under this political leadership that we need to have specialists. Yes, we have specialists, but in many cases, we see that the most current information they have is from 1993. The world has progressed significantly, and they are holding us back with warnings like, don’t go there, don’t enter the forest, the wolf will eat us. We are not entering the forest, but the wolf is coming to eat us.'
