Azerbaijan Appears to Have Aggressive Intentions, Says Pashinyan
Azerbaijan has a problem of legitimizing its potential aggression against us. If it has aggressive intentions, which it appears to have, it needs us to provide that legitimacy. Azerbaijan must do everything possible to ensure that contrary discourse occurs in Armenia, which they have labeled as revanchism, claiming that there are forces within Armenia, even within the government, that threaten their security. This is intended to legitimize its aggression to the outside world and its domestic audience.
But who says that the people of Azerbaijan want war? No people want war. And if there are aggressive plans in place, then a government with such plans must convince its people that if we do not carry out that aggression, we will become victims of aggression themselves,” Prime Minister Pashinyan articulated his thoughts during a broadcast on Public Radio.
