Today, on January 30, due to icy roads, chain accidents occurred in Ararat Province. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
It is reported that around 09:30 to 10:00, on a 1-kilometer stretch of the Yerevan-Eraskh highway, near the administrative territory of Marmarashen village, BMW, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Opel Zafira, Opel, VAZ 2107, Nissan March, Lada, VAZ 2106, and Samara brand vehicles collided.
According to preliminary information, fortunately, there are no casualties. The site reports that drivers indicated the road was icy, but no work had been done to treat it with salt or sand. Journalist Hasik Dilyan has posted photos on his Facebook page stating, "M 2 has been partially cleared, but mostly nothing has been done; the result is several accidents and a chain reaction... Until the Masis gas station, there was zero clearing, and up to Artashat there was zero work; from the middle of Masis, it's half done, Ararat, Avshar, Aigavan, Vosketa, Khor Virap... It's pointless to say anything further..."
