Tragedy Strikes: Youth Hockey Team Bus Accident in Ural Claims 4 Lives
A bus transporting a youth hockey team in Russia's Ural region has been involved in a serious accident while en route to Novouralsk.
The incident occurred near the village of Verkh-Neyvinsky. Reports indicate that a tire on the bus blew out while in motion, causing the vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic and collide with another car.
According to the Russian Prosecutor's Office, four individuals have lost their lives as a result of the crash. “Based on the information received, the coach of the hockey team has died in the hospital,” officials stated. The other three fatalities include the driver and two passengers of the other vehicle.
Additionally, two children have sustained injuries in the accident. Police report that there were 18 children on the bus, aged between 15 and 16, returning to Novouralsk from competitions held in the Chelyabinsk region.
