Ukrainian Armed Forces Adopt 88% of NATO-Recommended Standards, Says Defense Ministry
Starting from December 2023, Ukraine has implemented an additional 18 NATO standards, with efforts set to continue. This information was reported by the Ukrainian defense ministry's website.
As stated by Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrilyuk, there are plans to introduce another 50 NATO standards in the field of security in 2024.
The implemented standards include naval training protocols related to communication, information, and logistical support.
“In total, 315 NATO standards have been adopted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces, and other components of the security and defense sector, of which 192 (88% of the planned objectives) fall within the framework of Ukraine-NATO ‘partnership objectives’,” noted the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
