Several Roads Closed Across Armenia
The Emergency Situations Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the territory of Armenia.
Until February 15, due to road repair work, the section of the M-6 highway near the 38-40 km mark between Vanadzor and Alaverdi will be closed for buses and freight trucks with trailers or semi-trailers. A detour will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.
Additionally, the Vardenyats Pass, Berd-Chambarak (due to a snowstorm), and the roads from the town of Tashir to the village of Vardaghbyur in Shirak Province, as well as the Vardaghbyur-Hartagegh and Vardaghbyur-Zorashen roads are all closed.
All roads in the Lori and Syunik provinces, the Vanadzor-Dilijan highway, the winding roads of Noyemberyan and Dilijan, as well as the roads from Aparan in Aragatsotn Province to the community of Tsilkar and toward Spitak are closed for freight vehicles and difficult to navigate for other types of transport.
The road from the village of Syunik to the junction leading to the city of Jermuk is closed for trucks with trailers.
The Artik-Alagyaz and Amasia-Berdashen roads are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles, while the Mastara-Lanjik road is closed for trucks.
Fog conditions have been reported in the cities of Masis and Artashat.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia from North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles.
