Lukashenko Proposes to Putin a Trip to Antarctica

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has suggested to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit Antarctica, which the Russian leader responded positively to.

Today, the leaders of the two countries participated via video conference in the ceremony marking the trial operation handover of the new winter complex at the Vostok Station in Antarctica. At the end of the ceremony, Aleksandr Lukashenko proposed, "Perhaps one day we should go; it would be interesting."

Vladimir Putin replied with a smile, "Yes, sounds good."
