Armenians Hold Protest in Front of European Union Representation Office in Tbilisi
On January 27 and 28, various events took place in 55 cities across Europe, organized under the initiative of the "Europeans for Artsakh" platform, including a protest in front of the European Union representation office in Tbilisi. This information was reported by the Union of Armenians in Georgia.
Protesters presented their demands, which were displayed on placards, while students read a petition in English that will be handed over in letter form to the EU representation. They also recited a message from the factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh to the participants of the event, affirming that the last page of the Republic of Artsakh has not been turned and the struggle continues.
Arthur Mirzoyan, a member of the Union of Armenians in Georgia, also stated on his Facebook page that alongside their protest in front of the EU representation office, another demonstration was held, organized by the embassies of Turkey and Azerbaijan. According to him, a group of people was organized from the surrounding area to attend that protest.
“As we had planned, the protest was held, we presented our demands, and the students read the message from the factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh. The letter, in English, will be handed over to the EU representative tomorrow. There were quite a few police present at the protest ensuring security against potential provocations,” he noted.
