Georgian President Disappointed Over Lack of Meeting With Pashinyan

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili is disappointed that she was not allowed to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by Sputnik Georgia.

It is noted that the Georgian president welcomes the visit of the Armenian Prime Minister to the country but regrets that she is not given the opportunity to meet and properly receive the leaders of friendly countries.

"It is also regrettable that the relevant agencies do not inform the president about planned high-level visits, meetings, or events in the country," the statement said.

Zurabishvili had previously expressed her dissatisfaction over not being permitted to meet with the President of Azerbaijan and for not being allowed to speak at events. She frequently complains about being overlooked.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan traveled to Georgia on January 26 to participate in the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia. Following the session, the parties announced that Armenia and Georgia had signed a strategic partnership agreement.
