Azerbaijan's Chief Prosecutor Announces Trial for Captured Artsakh Leadership
Azerbaijan's Chief Prosecutor Kamran Aliyev has announced a trial concerning the leadership of Nagorno-Karabakh currently in captivity. This declaration was made during a meeting of the expanded board of the Prosecutor General's Office.
“The verdict against the separatists will be delivered in Azerbaijani courts,” assured Kamran Aliyev.
It is noteworthy that former leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh, including three presidents—Arkadi Ghukasian, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan—along with state minister Ruben Vardanyan, foreign minister Davit Babayan, parliament speaker Davit Ishkhanyan, defense minister Levon Mnatsakanyan, and deputy minister David Manukyan were captured during Azerbaijan's aggression and occupation of the republic's entire territory from September 19-20, 2023.
