Roads Closed and Difficult to Navigate in Armenia

Until February 15, due to road renovation works, the M-6 highway section near Vanadzor-Alaverdi will be closed for buses and articulated or semi-articulated trucks between kilometers 38-40. A detour road will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatson region, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and the road to K'ari Lake are closed. The road section from the M-2 highway to Khachik village is difficult to navigate.

The Vardenyats Pass is particularly difficult for articulated trucks (it is recommended to use snow chains).

There are patches of black ice on the Sisian-Zanger road. In the Syunik region, snow is present in areas including the Vardenyats Pass, Tigranashen bends, and cities such as Aparan, Aragats, Vardenis, Kajaran, Sevan, Jambarak, Jermuk, Dilijan, and sections known as Sisian-Zanger and "Meghru Mountain".

Fog is reported in the Saravan-Zanger area, along the Vardenyats Pass, and in the city of Jambarak.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the crisis management center of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
