Return of Ruben Vardanyan and Other Countrymen Must Become a Unified Demand of the Armenian People: Mane Tandilyan

The president of the 'Living Country' party, Mane Tandilyan, has issued a statement regarding the Baku court's illegal extension of Ruben Vardanyan's detention for four months.

'It is clear that Vardanyan's activities in Artsakh did not involve any criminal actions, and Azerbaijan is attempting to convict Ruben Vardanyan with fabricated charges and to detain our other compatriots in Azerbaijani prisons. Ruben Vardanyan and our other compatriots must return home as soon as possible, which should become a unified demand of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people as a priority in foreign policy and a matter of national dignity,' Tandilyan wrote.
