Erdogan Officially Confirms Turkey's Ratification of Sweden's NATO Membership

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has officially approved Turkey's ratification of Sweden's NATO membership.

Earlier, the United States indicated that it was closely monitoring the Turkish Parliament's vote on Sweden's application for NATO membership. “First and foremost, we understand that the Turkish Parliament may make this decision today. Of course, we are watching this closely,” said John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council.
