Fog in the Saravan-Zanger Section and Talin Region: Road Conditions Update
The Rescue Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Until February 15, the section of the M-6 highway from Vanadzor to Alaverdi, between kilometers 38-40, will be closed for buses and heavy vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers due to road repair works. A detour will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.
Closed are the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to Amberd Fortress and Karih Lake. The Vardenyats Pass is also closed.
The roads from Noyemberyan to Ijevan, Vanadzor to Alaverdi, Vanadzor to Dilijan, as well as the roads in the Stepanavan region, the Dilijan and Spitak turns, and the road from the Jermuk junction to the village of Gndevaz and the Saravan-Zanger section are closed for heavy vehicles with trailers.
Roads in Lori province and the Artik region, the Yerevan-Sevan stretch (kilometers 24-39 under snow), Vedi to Lanjarr, Alapars to Charentsavan, and the road from Amasia to Berdashen in Shirak province are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.
Snow is falling in Aragatsotn, Ararat, and Gegharkunik provinces. There is snowstorm on the Vardenyats Pass, the Aragats region, the Saravan-Zanger section, and the Gndevaz-Jermuk road. Fog is reported in the Saravan-Zanger section and the Talin region.
Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia in Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
