Iran Becomes the Fourth Country in the World to Have a Satellite Launcher

Iran, following the United States, China, and Russia, is now considered the fourth country in the world to possess a satellite launcher. This was announced by General Ali Jafarabadi, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force.

Speaking about the successful launch of the "Soraya" satellite, General Jafarabadi referred to Iran as the fourth country worldwide with a three-stage solid rocket launcher. On January 20, the "Soraya" satellite was successfully placed into orbit at an altitude of 750 kilometers, using the Gaem-100 rocket.

The "Soraya" satellite, belonging to Iran’s Space Institute, was launched with the help of Iran’s first three-stage solid-propellant launch vehicle, the Gaem-100. This marks Iran's first successful deployment of a satellite at an altitude exceeding 500 kilometers.
