Inter Triumphs Over Napoli to Claim Italian Super Cup

Inter Milan has won the Italian Super Cup for the third consecutive year. In the final held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Inter defeated reigning champions Napoli with a score of 1-0.

Napoli played with 10 men from the 60th minute after Argentine forward Giovanni Simeone was sent off with a second yellow card. The reigning World Champion forward Lautaro Martinez scored the decisive goal in the first minute of added time.

Former captain of the Armenian national team, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, was in Inter's starting lineup and played the entire match, marking the 23rd title of his career.

Under the guidance of 47-year-old Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, Inter secured their fifth title; he has been leading the team since 2021 and has previously won two Coppa Italia titles and a Super Cup.

This victory marks the eighth time Inter has claimed the Italian Super Cup.
