What Assets Did the Armavir Mayor Have to Become the Province Governor?
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Armavir Province, the newly appointed governor, Eduard Hovhannisyan, was replaced by the mayor of Armavir community, David Khudatyan. Let us present the assets with which the Armavir mayor became the governor of Armavir province.
Interestingly, the former mayor did not declare any real estate or apartment in Armavir province. David Khudatyan took office as mayor on October 27, 2018, and afterward, in December 2019, he acquired a jointly owned apartment in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan. According to the declaration, the apartment was purchased with a mortgage worth 19 million 485 thousand drams. For this reason, Khudatyan received 1 million 521 thousand drams from the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, which is the income tax refund for paying off the mortgage principal.
Khudatyan has not declared any transportation means. The balances of his bank accounts amounted to 510 thousand drams, while his cash holdings amounted to 3 million 800 thousand drams. His income for the reporting year was 8 million 661 thousand drams, of which 7 million 140 thousand drams came from his remuneration as part of the staff of the Mayor of Armavir province.
