Photos: 18 Fishing Nets Removed from Lake Sevan, 200 Live Sig Fish Returned to the Lake

As part of control measures during the sig spawning period, employees of the Lake Sevan National Park, the Water Patrol Service, and representatives of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body conducted joint monitoring activities. As a result, 18 fishing nets were removed from the lake in the coastal area of Shorja, and 200 sig fish were returned to the lake alive.

This information was reported by the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia. It should be noted that sig fishing is prohibited from November 15 of this year until the official start of the next fishing season.
