Fog, Closed and Difficult-to-Navigate Roads
The Emergency Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia. Until February 15, due to road repair work, the section of the M-6 highway from Vanadzor to Alaverdi will be closed for buses and heavy vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers at kilometers 38-40. An alternative route will operate through the town of Noyemberyan.
In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Karkar Lake are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers. The roads in the Syunik region are also difficult to pass for trucks with trailers.
In the Shirak region (except for the Amasia area) and in the towns of Kapan and Dilijan, fog is present. According to information received from the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
