Accident in Kotayk: Pedestrian Dies at the Scene

Today, a fatal accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 07:40, a 29-year-old resident of Kotayk, Artzrune Z., struck a 60-year-old pedestrian, Mariam M., with his VAZ 2107 vehicle on the Yerevan-Sevan highway near 'Arzvi Tveri.'

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance. The emergency medical team that arrived promptly at the Abovyan Medical Center confirmed the pedestrian's death. Subsequently, the driver reported the incident to the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Abovyan Investigation Department, and at the investigator's directive, the vehicle has been moved to a designated storage area of the Kotayk police department.
